ClinicsChain & Brand Establishment

If you are in a city, do you know which Hospital to go for different ailments? Hard because we don't know who is better. we are looking for reviews to decide. 

We see there are  chains/brands of multi speciality hospitals only like Apollo, Care etc bigger costly, mostly centralised in a place far from city or not easily reachable. Basically they are not approachable.

There are no chain of hospitals/clinics for general medicine + basic diabetes + basic ophthalmology + basic dermatology + basic Ortho + basic dental + physiotherapy + dietician focussing only on Out patients (O.P). there are individual clinics of doctors and they are successful up to an extent.

I don't mean to lower the range of any of the above said streams. But, my idea is why cant there be an established chain which can gain peoples trust that if we visit their clinic we can get proper guidance. Guidance could be to use medicines or to consult a specialist. some proper initial analysis can be done.

Today I see this is lacking in India. Anytime, we don't know whom to visit. Blindly cant go to some super speciality hospital or not able to find the right Doctor for specific ailment.

So, having some established chain which can create a brand as a go to clinic for any problem and get a proper guidance will be a super hit.

What I am seeing the clinics can do

• In Clinic, there will be specialist or experienced doctors for each
• Clinic will have a medical shop & small lab with basic equipment or can have an agreement with a lab chain for a premium service.
• Entire chain will have a common set of guidelines on assessments & treatment
• advanced will be in a centralised place for the chain (in Tier-1 cities at least)
• Everything will be online i.e. each patients assessment will be online. A review by the head/heads will happen every day for quality check purpose. this can be automated to an extent to save time and efforts.

So, basic checkups all will be done there and it helps people a lot. This can only be successful if right diagnosis, medication is done. 

So, its like

One Clinic in My Chain = 

Patient examination + Testing (diagnostics) + Pharmacy + Reachable + Brand + Quality of Service + Multitude of Services

Why this can be a successful one?

• Business ideas with social cause is in the rise now.
• Also, this is the model already present in developed nations. There you can't visit a bigger hospital without reference from a smaller clinic. that makes Sense and pocket friendly too.
• Government should ideally do this but as like schools this also (leaving rest to your imagination)
• By having an organised clinic chain more people can be served in a better manner with help of expertise
• Multiple Clinics would definitely give a better reach in people and more footfall is guaranteed. 
• Of course, for specialist needs there could be individual hubs for each specialisation or a multi speciality by same can be planned but it won't give trust to people. if they suggest who is really good then it will be considered genuine.

What are to be carefully considered?

• How to manage such a chain and be profitable being affordable. Being profitable is also required along with service orientation in-order to run for a longer time and help people & nation.
• Establishing brand and maintaining quality of service.

Just to give some quick idea,

• Now a days, where ever you go you can find a Apollo Pharmacy or MedPlus. People seeing that we can go there and we will get any medicine.
• if there is similar established brand where it can be your go to place and will get redirected from there based on problem and if you are doing it right you will definitely helping the people and you will definitely be super successful.
