FourTen's formula for my dream life

I was in office and its around 10.30 in the morning on 19th June 2017. i was reading Andhra Jyothy daily, Reading an article about "kamal kisaan" looked interesting. Its the inspiring story of a lady who did her masters from IIM-B and chosen farming and making tools to ease that job.

that intrigued me and made me to look into cost and details about kamal kisaan. googling of it, showed their work: http://kamalkisan.com/ .

They have made manual and automated tools for vegetable plantation, sugar cane plantation's. so, i came to know about two new tools of farming. that engendered me to read about other tools available.

Googled again, and after some search landed in http://www.icar.org.in/en/node/9776 .
which gave a right set of info i was looking for i.e. tools with prices.

one common thing in all the tools i felt are X-Row, Manual and Automated: can be used with tractor.
All the tools are to be used with tractor. till now, i saw tractors many a times but didn't knew anything about them. first time got interest to look into the price of a tractor.

again googled and landed in http://www.padaar.com/mahindra-tractors/ . shocked to see the prices. least one is 2,00,000/- and review of it says, it was not so effective and the effective one would cost around 6,00,000/-.

This woke up mathematician in me to calculate the cost of agriculture, i mean in a way i dream it.
My dream dont have a shape until a discussion happened among our P.G (typical stay of bachelor in bangalore) guys. i don't remember the entire discussion, this is how it went.

me: em peerayya enti sangatulu? (hey, peerayya wassup?)
peerayya: em anna, cheppali (you have to say bro)
me: enti mee amma garu nanna garu bangalore vachestunnaru annav? (you said that your father and mother coming to bangalore?)
peerayya: ha anna, akkada panem undatledu, ikkadaite P.G chusukovachu gadaani. (they are not getting any work, here they can look after the P.G)
me: meeku polam unda peerayya? (do you have farm land?)
peerayya: ha anna,  acralu unde. kani em labham? varshallevu. (ya 10 acres, but whats the use no rains)
me: varshallekapodam enti? anni chotla bane padutunnai ga? (why no rains? in most of the places its raining good)
peerayya: anta aa kvaari vallne anna. kvaari valla chuttu pakka 10 k.m lo mottam dumme, chetlu pergatledu, anduke varshalu levu dani valle vyavasaam ledu, panullevu. (its all due to the quarrying of hill over there. 10 KM around trees are not growing due its dust. so no rains around us, so farming, so no works).
********some disc*******on politics*******what is causing all these*********

me: so if i want to start farming what water and an acre land is enough? or?
the lines told by a guy in that same p.g went deep into my mind:

[ee udyogalu gatta waste anna varsham chakka padite. varshalu sariga unde 10 acrala polam, 10 aavulu gani gedalu gani unte ikkadevadu untaanna..subbramga ma oorelli chakkaga vyavasayam chesukunta... endukanna ee aedava udyogalu]
these jobs are waste bro.. if we have 10 acre farm land, proper rains and 10 cows/buffalo's will go to my village and do farming peacefully. these jobs are waste.....

Lets come back to 19th June, we are in office reading news paper and googling about tools and the calculations of farming costs:
for farming:
6,00,000 - for a good tractor
some tools required are - one for plantation of plants, rice/sugarcane, 1 for ploughing, 1 for picking the weeds, 1 for cutting. roughly 4,00,000 for tools. 10Lakhs.

then another thought which struck me was an article in Hindu read long back (came in 2013: http://www.thehindu.com/sci-tech/agriculture/a-story-of-a-banker-turned-farmer-in-bihar/article4763486.ece) , about organic farming by a banker turned farmer, according to him, preparing the jeevamruth ourself would be better and we need to have our own cattle for it. so, my rough calculation is that to look after the cattle 3 people(1 for cleaning, 1 for taking milk and 1 for selling), to work with you in the farm 4, yourself and 2 more for marketing etc, total 10.

so, my dream life has all 10's in it: 10 Acres of land, 10 Lakhs investment, 10 Cows, 10 People to work.

this is another serendipitous thought which will let my dream life come true and (FourTen's) 10-10-10-10 formula is the output of it.

Now while writing article, i have got one more 10. I feel i would need at least 10 years to get above FourTen's., by that time ten would go to twenty and i will have to wait another TWENTY :P :P ... its the dream anyway...... :D :D
