Positive Media

Media is the Means of Mass communication.
Media is not just news channels. so, what all comes under media:

1. Television Channels
2. News Papers 
3. Magazines
4. Movies
5. Radio
6. News Apps
7. News Web sites

The media is corrupted, no..no... i would say lot effected by the financial zeal of people. 

"greed for money is the root of all evil".

90% of above media is running behind money. In addition to this, India's largest employer i.e. our great political eco system made it much more worse. If money is the Root cause, politics are in all branches of it - what, why, which, when, whom and how.

This opinion on media was there from long back but this quora answer catalysed me in writing this. 

Not just this. plenty..plenty..we will be coming across which our media never focuses on. Focus is very far, not even show in a scrolling or in corner of a least visited page. 

As said in that answer, All this media working hard in creating negative environment around us. All they show are, fight between two communities (cast/religion), fight between two political parties, clashes between people, make a crime story movie and show to get more TRP and get more MONEY. 

this is one side, on the other side, when some important or good news or some fact was there, our political leaders will threaten media people in all possible ways and suppress their voice by bribing them, fearing them about their families etc all possible ways.

There is a huge need in current society for a platform for showing/sharing good news, positive elements, small small achievements of low class, middle class people. which may not be very interesting i.e. such news may not create a lot of excitement to people, but it will create a positive impact on the people that, doing such things also they can get recognised, being good will be appreciated etc.

Because of current day media, who is a criminal is becoming a hero. A person who talks rubbish becoming popular which isn't good for society as future citizens (kids) learn from what they see. 

Hope you can imagine how it will be if criminals teach kids and rogues becomes inspiration for them.

I want to mention one quote here,

Great minds discuss ideas

Average minds discuss events

Small minds discuss people 

Media should consider this quote seriously. what they want people to be great, average or small. If goal of a media company not great i request people to quit following that media company it is definitely going to harm you, your family, your relatives, friends everyone associated with you.

So, I feel there is an opportunity in the media world to spread positive waves, bring a change and succeed. Showing positive news, showing achievements, showing good that people have done/doing, how a hard work and honesty is appreciated and recognised will help the future generations and current generations to talk about good things. Don't leave the news items orphaned. Follow up on the things, help them and people to get the justice they should get.

I thought of stopping here, but a quote that i have read today is still roaming in my mind. I must say that,

A Goal without a Plan is just a Wish

So, this is my wish for now. let us see if i can turn into my goal or this post helps someone else to start making a wish in these lines and plan to reach their goal.
